Bythelbs’ kids get religion, part II (and winners announced)

29 Sep

You can read part I here.

This is how my children spend their time during our church services.

Mr. T

DynaGirl

Goose

I threw all y’all’s names in a hat—literally, see:

DynaGirl drew out Susan M and Goose drew out Cheryl, which just goes to show if you stick around here long enough sooner or later you’re bound to get something out of it.  Congrats to the winners!  Condolences to the non-winners.  I actually felt so badly about disappointing so many of my fellow Office fanatics that I had my girls draw out two more names.  So more congrats to Julie and Boquinha who will each be receiving a small consolation prize.

    YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!
Oh, the joy! The joy! So much joy!

I love Goose’s drawing of your hand. How close is it to the original? (heehee)

Is that a hat, or a velvet snoopy sombrero?

  3. Julie September 29, 2008 at 10:24 am #

    that’s what she said.

WOW! My first blog win! Yay!

I sometimes play hangman with my teenagers during SM. My daughter’s so bad at it—she couldn’t figure out the word “Hangman.” And then she couldn’t figure out her boyfriend’s name—which was actually written on her hand as we were playing.

    She’s 17.

    Oh Julie, that’s TMI! 😀

Don’t you just love church art? Good stuff!

Your kids do good church art. You should encourage them to make it a little more religious, though. Like have the Ninja helping the Hobo, or something. Then it could be a visual aid in Primary.

Cheryl—It’s closer than I’d like to admit.

    Mother—Good one!

    Julie—Ditto! (to the good one)

Susan—Try playing hangman with your 6 year old. I’m not sure which is more difficult, having her guess or having me try to guess when few of the letters seem to be in their proper places.

Leslie—I have dozens of spiral notebooks filled with such masterpieces. I can’t bring myself to recycle them.

Mad—I was actually thinking that maybe it was better to have a ninja next to a pirate than a ninja with Jesus or something, but now I’m not so sure. I like your idea, though—using ninjas and hobos to teach correct principles.

LOL. I love the detail in DynaGirl’s – illustrations AND dialogue! Now that’s talent!

I can see she has inherited the bythelbs humor, as well – “Why do I have a stick body?”

    ROFL.

Wow ninjas! I just get a lot of Sponge Bob and his compadres from my kids.

Awe.Some. Once again your kids take the cake. I love DynaGirl’s.

So bummed I didn’t win your Office prize pack but my one consolation is I have many of those things already stashed in my office. I wish I had thought to do a giveaway…

Ohmygoodness! I’m so excited!! A consolation prize?! Not only is it a win, but it’s also a surprise!! So exciting–thank you, bythelbs and bythelbs’ kids! 🙂

P.S. And after all the hobo talk around here, I’m so glad to have a visual. 🙂 It’s a good one.
