Friday funnies, anyone?

9 Jan

It’s been awhile since we’ve had a Friday funny, I think.  I’m not sure how I missed these Pearls Before Swine.

I will now be making every effort to incorporate “butti” into my daily conversations.  As will Mr. T, I’m sure, when he catches wind of this.

Oh, and I just did a search on my blog with the word “buttock” to find the post for that Mr. T link, and I had nine posts pop up.  Only nine?

Chuck left early this morning for another week out of town, which means I’ll be spending the next 7 days with Buffy.  Do you have any big plans for the weekend?

No big plans. I’m just packing for my trip to England.

    (please don’t hit me)

    I’ll hit Cheryl for you.

Any sentence with “buttocks” and “catch wind” brings out the preschooler in me and I giggle out loud. Yes, I do realize the phrase is break wind, but I’m juvenile enough to find it funny anyway.

I’m getting a hair cut today and coupon shopping tomorrow. It’s becoming an addiction.

Tomorrow is Mr. Bubby’s Lego League extravaganza at the OMSI. ALL FREAKING DAY. Well, technically, only from 9:30 to 3:30. BUT STILL.

    Those are too funny.

I think tomorrow I’m going to Hollywood. Gonna be a movie star…Or just take pictures and go to a record store.

Oh nothing much…just going out to breakfast with some friends to celebrate a certain SOMEONE’s birthday….

What are you sayin’ Julie? It’s not like I’m Ouiser, or anything. Although that reference doesn’t quite fit, because it would have to be like this:
    Julie: Here, Bythelbs, hit Cheryl!
And then everybody would laugh. Of course, we would also have to be in a cemetery for it to work. Oh, and we would have had to just had a sob fest at the death of Bythelbs’ diabetic daughter.

And if none of you get this reference, I will feel utterly stupid. For you.

My butti and I are going to be cheering for Wild Buttock Boy #1 at his first Jr. Jazz B-ball game…which the biggest buttock of our Wild Butti family (Daddy Buttock) is coaching. Go buddy! Oh, I mean, Go Butti!

As for me personally, I gotta get my buttock in gear and prepare my Relief Society lesson for Sunday, and then study for a History test on Monday. Sometimes school is just a pain in the buttock. 😛

Cheryl, I have zero idea what you’re talking about. Zero.

  9. bythelbs January 9, 2009 at 1:12 pm #

Cheryl—No, I’m totally happy for you.

Julie—I thought the same thing! We can be juvenile together. Also, Cheryl’s making a Steel Magnolias reference. Apparently. I had to ask, but shhhhh–don’t tell her I told you that. (Please don’t hit me, Cheryl).

madhousewife—No, that’s pretty much all FREAKING day. Good luck.

Susan—You are a star! Have fun!

kamilli—Can’t wait! Hopefully there’s some good guy-trolling action at the IHOP on Saturday mornings.

Mother—Your awesomeness astounds me to my very buttock. I mean buttocks. I mean buttocksesses. I mean butti. Good luck to WBB#1!

I just got done with laundry at my dad’s and then date night tonight! Which means we’ll probably go to Costco or Target or maybe even Old Navy if we’re feeling really crazy.

Tomorrow is the annual party for the husband of some lady T-Bone used to work with. It should be fun.

Oh and the only reason I know what Cheryl was talking about is because is get searches for Ouiser on my blog all the time from that one movie quote post I did like months ago.

  11. cheryl January 9, 2009 at 6:22 pm #

Yes, but at least you, Flip Flop, got the reference! Even though my reference kind of stunk. Ah, well. It’s okay. I know my intellect is way beyond…something. Or…something.

Bythelbs- And just for being happy for me, you’re getting yourself some quality English Air! Or art. Or dead leaves. I’d pick you a flower, but it’s winter there, too. So, you know. I’ll get you a dead leaf (branch? wilted patch of grass?) from Jane Austen’s house. Ooh! Maybe I’ll get you some dirt! Yes! But you would know it equated love (dirt can be love, right?) because it would be Jane Austen dirt. That’s almost gold!

My husband has to chaperone another dance tomorow so I’ll be spending the evening with Betty Suarez. And tomorrow, ALL my kids are going to a primary party so Husband and I are going for breakfast. Woo-hoo!

I posted a Friday Funny today too. Thanks for the idea!

  13. Julie January 10, 2009 at 7:44 am #

Whoa, I totally missed that one. And I think it was all stemming from the Ouiser. That got me. But dead daughter, diabetes, cemetary…it’s all coming together now…

  14. cheryl January 10, 2009 at 10:11 am #

Julie, if it helps, I tried to spell it Weiser or Wheezer or Weezer, and then I realized people would just think I was talking about the band and get REALLY confused. 😉 So I looked it up (the spelling). And I agree –it’s not exactly obvious on the pronunciation…

  15. Julie January 10, 2009 at 3:41 pm #

Yeah, well, at least you’re accurate. And I would have thought it was the band if you’d done that and then I would have been REALLY confused!

Hey, aren’t you supposed to be packing for London? And isn’t this Bythelbs blog?

  16. Alison Wonderland January 11, 2009 at 10:32 pm #

Cheryl, I totally got the reference. But you’re right, the spelling is a little Ouierd

And yes, Bythelbs, I’d love some Friday Funnies.
