Friday Funnies with bonus poll!

1 May

I’d just like you all to know that reading your blogs has never reminded me of something I might blow into a hankie.  Well, almost never.

Enjoy the weekend!

Oh, but first, answer this poll.

I am the b/log/oo/ger in your virtual hankie.

Oh no! A lbs poll! I feel I could fail somehow…

    Red vines all the way.

There wasn’t an option that said “both, with a side of M&M’s and being used like a straw to suck Dr. Pepper” so I said your poll offended me…

Ummm….in looking at the automatically generated possible related post–I’d like to know what blogs and boogers and red licorice have in common with yeast infections and cysts. Yuck. I might not be able to eat licorice again.

And, absolutely black all the way. Although if I’m forced to eat red licorice, it must be Twizzlers. Red Vines are just gross.

When I pick a bag of redvines, I always smoosh the bag to make sure that they’re fresh. Yum!

Tawnya—I’ve come to terms with the Twizzlers lovers, so even if you are one I can love you anyway. I’ve said this before, I love wack jobs.

    Flip—*knuckle bump*

Shaz—Well, obviously there are endless possibilities for snack food enjoyment as well as countless uses for the licorice stick. But I’m happy to see at least one person chose the offended option. My work here is done.

Kamilli—You are a special, special woman. And those possibly related posts are nasty. Sorry. Not sure what the new paint is about either.

Mother—Word. There’s nothing more disappointing than a hard vine.

I’m not a fan of licorice, but Red Vines are 100X better than Twizzlers. No offense to them.

  8. tawnya May 1, 2009 at 2:27 pm #

Good thing I’m a red vine person! We may or may not have just bought a case of individual packs from Sams Club…

(the only twizzlers I’ll eat and the rope kind that you can pull apart. and black licorice is just nasty.)

  9. bythelbs May 1, 2009 at 3:38 pm #

Tawnya—See, I knew there was a reason I liked you.

  10. Julie May 1, 2009 at 4:10 pm #

The only Twizzlers worth eating are the chocolate kind.

Redvines are awesome, but must (and I repeat MUST) be hard and stale.

Black licorice is food of the gods and, again, must be hard and stale.

Have we had this conversation before?

  11. bythelbs May 1, 2009 at 4:18 pm #

Julie, you had me at Red Vines. I’m willing to forgive everything else.

  12. boquinha May 2, 2009 at 4:16 pm #

Yeast infections, vaginal cysts and new paint? I see we’ve already discussed that, so I won’t state the obvious a second time.

I didn’t see an option for “Licorice of any kind? Ewwww? Pass the donuts.” So, I said that your poll offended me, too.

  13. boquinha May 2, 2009 at 4:17 pm #

Ooooh or an option for Dutch Babies. Mmmmmm.

  14. Julie May 5, 2009 at 10:17 pm #

    I miss you.

I have always noticed that “blog” is an ugly word. I can’t stand saying it aloud.
I have no idea what red vines are, but twizzlers rock.

  16. bythelbs May 7, 2009 at 9:14 am #

Patience—I’m not sure what to say about your Twizzlers love, except that maybe it’s born from your ignorance of Red Vines, which are the only true red licorice.
