Bythelbs presents: Classic Moments in Motherhood

29 Oct

You know those moments in life where you can either laugh or cry?  I have never laughed so hard in my entire life.

While going through DynaGirl’s homework folder, I found this storyboard:

Me:  What was this for?

DynaGirl:  Oh, that’s just a rough rough draft of something.

Yeah, rough.

Rough draft?

HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHA. Oh, that is awesome. You look like a lion roaring. hahahaha. Classic.

Oh that is too funny. You should totally make that your profile pic for Facebook. Gotta love seeing the world through the eyes of our kids!

That is freaking awesome. I LOVE the panel where you’re stressed out. I love the whole thing. It is adorable.

That reminds me of the picture you drew for that art class in college. The one that was supposed to be a self portrait representing a strong emotion, and you drew yourself pulling your hair out by the roots. I think you gave it to Dad for Father’s Day, or something.

Please say you saved this. And bronzed it.

    (laughing so hard I can’t breathe much…)

I’d like to see the final draft of this project.

    Please share upon receipt.

Hey, at least she didn’t think you’d freak out when she showed you. In fact, I think it shows she has a lot of sympathy for you when Dad leaves.

LOLing until I’ve wet my pants. I love the children cowering in the background on the stressed out panel.

I feel like this when Stanton isn’t home by 4:45 (which he never is). I can scarcely imagine what 2 weeks would turn me into.

The tiny children cowering in the background is a very nice touch. She’s big on the details and excellent with the perspective, don’t you think?

    Tawnya—Didn’t she, though?

Kamilli–Yes, and aren’t lions noble, majestic creatures?

RJ—It IS adorable. I love, love, love it.

Foo—Yes, I was just thinking about that self-portrait the other day. I wonder if Dad still has it in his office.

Cheryl—Oh it will be saved. I will treasure it ALWAYS.

Mother—Chuck and I laughed so hard (after DynaGirl had gone to bed) that my sides ached. There was also some crying. There may have been some wheezing, too.

Janelle—You got it. And technically, she didn’t show it to me. I more discovered it. I think she might have been a little bit embarrassed even, but I was sure to tell her how much I liked it and what a good job she did. She does have a lot of sympathy for me, and she is very understanding. And forgiving.
