Hello, it’s me

19 Jul

Do you ever look at your spouse or one of your kids and for like a nanosecond think, “Who are you?”  Like some kind of reverse déjà vu?

Maybe it’s just me.

~

I’m kind of diggin’ this song lately:

~

How you doin’?

    Love that Broken Bells song.

I’ve totally done that before. I’ve had small flashes of total freak out that I live with this man who was a total stranger. They only last seconds. I blame movies, ya know?

Love that song; thanks for sharing.

I quite often stare at my children and forget that I was the one who gave birth to them. Why can’t I remember having them inside of me? It’s like a crazy dream from a movie. And yet, they are here. Weird.

I’m doin’ good. Thank you for asking!

LOVING Broken Bells. LOVE. I’m on a music binge right now. I’m loving it.

    And, yeah. Just…yeah.

Usually only with my husband. I think it’s crazy that we live together. Then I remember he’s the kids’ dad, and it’s okay.

Oh yeah, I’ve done that. Have you ever looked in the mirror and done that same thing?

  7. Lora July 19, 2010 at 8:48 pm #

Totally done that with the husband. Usually it’s just a second to freak me out cause I’ve realized once again that I’m actually married! like Forever… and ETERNITY… and I did it WILLINGLY!! Did I really know what I was doing? Then it passes, but still leaves that weird lingering feeling just a few seconds more and i have to say “Dude, we’re Married. Isn’t that weird!?”

I haven’t before, but I probably will tomorrow, now that you’ve mentioned it. I have done it several times on this trip, about actually being on the EPIC ROAD TRIP finally, and I remember feeling that way when we went to NYC too. Is this really real?

I’m fine, thanks for asking. Watched an old RDJ movie tonight–Chances Are. It was great.

I usually look at my kids and wonder where they came from. Them I realize that I gave birth to them and I’m their mom. And then I really freak out.

That has never happened to me.

Can I just say for the record that I HATE MY COMPUTER MOUSE??! It has this stupid, stupid, stupid little button on the side that sends you back a page and I always manage to hit it when I’ve just spent the last several minutes writing responses. Blah! And boo! Boo on you stupid $%*#&!@! computer mouse!

OK, trying again, even though my comments are so belated at this point they are near pointless.

Patience—Are you familiar with Broken Bells? This is the first I had heard of them.

Shaz—Yes, let’s blame the movies. And you’re welcome.

Cheryl—I hope you’re still doing good!

    Mad—Yeah.

Alison—I’ve totally done that. It’s usually not a very pleasant experience.

Lora—The “willingly” made me chuckle. Out loud.

Evita—I know what you mean with the traveling thing.

Flip—I used to love Chances Are. I haven’t seen it since college. I’ll have to look for it now.

    Foo—Huh.

    Boquinha—I knew you’d get that!
