The reason for the season

21 Dec

Bythelbs is sewing again.

Me: Argh!  Is it OK to say bad words when you’re making baby Jesus’s?

Mr. T:  Is it OK to say bad words when you’re not making baby Jesus’s?

Darn him.  Mr. T, not Jesus.

BTW, how do you pluralize Jesus?  Jesus’s?  Jesuses?  You can’t pluralize Jesus because there’s only one Jesus?

    He’s got to understand, right?

What is the purpose of the baby Jesi? That’s my plural form of Jesus.

Maybe I’ll post pictures once I’m sure the recipients of said baby Jesi have received them.

Out on the Bonneville Salt Flats, people like to take old beer bottles or black rocks and spell things on the salt. They have to take the rocks with them, since there are no non-white rocks naturally out there. Over time, the rocks and bottles since into the salt, so you get an idea, by the depth of the items, how long a particular name or phrase has been out there. Kind of a Salt Lake eqivalent of climbing the water tower with eight cans of spray paint to defend your sister’s honor.

Anyway, there’s one spot out there where spelled out, in letters at least 20 feet high –

    J U S E S

You have to admire the devotion, if not the spelling skilz.

“Jesuses.” It’s especially awesome if you use the Spanish pronunciation.

And obviously there can be more than one, since you are making them.

BTW: Love, love, LOVE my nativity set! So cute!

I like Mr. T — I even took a picture of some random stranger at Hershey Park just because he had an awesome Chuck Norris T-shirt on. Not that I’ve uploaded and posted it yet . . .
