Since my alarming discovery of the freakishness that had become my eyebrows and my subsequent post about it, I have received several search term hits on this topic, including:
plucking eyebrows far apart will they gr…
and
eyebrow nightmare how long to grow back.
I am relieved to find that I am not the only one in the universe suffering from EPD (excessive pluckage disorder), but I am also very saddened that others must also deal with this terrible disease. So I am here to offer hope to my fellow EPDers.
Once upon a time, not so very long ago, I looked like this:
I know, right? What was I thinking? How did I ever find myself here?! It’s almost too painful to look.
But now, just a little over six weeks later, here I am:
It’s been a long road, and my journey is not yet over. If you click on the picture to get a better close up, you will see that my left brow (on the right on your screen) is progressing at a slightly faster rate. The right still has a fair amount of holes. I suspect I’ll be dealing with density issues for some time to come (hold the jokes, please, I’m still in a vulnerable state!) But overall, I’m pleased with the progress, and at this rate I suspect I’ll be a fully recovered EPDer with beautiful brows of perfectly natural length and fulness by Christmas. As long as I can keep the EPD in check, that is. Constant vigilance! Anyone interested in starting a support group?
Wow, I have to say you have beautiful skin. I’m glad the brows are growing back!
Look at it this way…at least you have brows. DH teases me because my brows are so naturally non-existent and light colored that I actually have to do some eyebrow-enhancement aka brow penciling. Of course, I can always get him back by reminding him that it’s time for his unibrow waxing…
PS-Did you get my email(s)?
Love your before and after shots. If I didn’t know I was looking at differences in eyebrows I don’t think I’d have noticed they were different. Not that there isn’t a difference—I just don’t think I’d have picked up on it. So your brows weren’t that bad in the before shot!
You have beautiful eyes.
I was worried it would be a little hard to see the difference, but I do have almost a quarter inch of length in regrowth on each side. I still don’t know how I managed to get carried away.
Mother—I sent you an e-mail requesting further instructions.
Flip (or jumbo)—Thanks!
Susan—You’re so nice to me.
Ok, check now. Yahoo is eating my emails. Arg! 😡
Hooray for Eyebrow regrowth!
Agreed. You are gorgeomous.
And yes, I’m reading BD, and I lied. The Obsession is back with a vengeance. Sigh…
I’ve missed out on the goings on in the real world. Possessed by BD fevah. Not too unlike cowbell. Somehow, I’m able to put it down for sleep. 100 pages till I can be done with this insanity.
Oh, and I am pleased with your regrowth. It’s quite impressive…to someone who’s been there, no less.
Constant vigilance! But maybe not too constant… or not too vigilant? Anyway, don’t do it again.
“Constant vigilance!” I love it.
I hate plucking my eyebrows. I’m perpetually on the verge of unibrow. I’m always afraid of plucking too much, though, and I end up plucking not enough. Or often enough. Both.
mad—I’d say err on the side of not enough, rather than too much. I didn’t notice any threat of unibrow the last time I saw you.
Alison—I need to be constantly vigilant about not over plucking, is what I meant to say.
Hooray for eyebrow regrowth indeed!
Hello, just wanted to mention, I liked this article. It was helpful.
Keep on posting!
